Welcome guys to my yet another blog. In this blog i would like to give u some information regarding one of the most important part in your car i.e BRAKEPADS. Since i am from India i will talk about Indian cars and different brands available in India.
Brakepads are very important components of your car. For a car to stop at right time right stopping power is required. One of the most important of braking is brakepads. Along with other components like brake discs,brakemasters etc, brakepads help a car to stop at the righ time.

TYPES OF CARS IN INDIA:
I would categories cars in India into
1. Luxury Cars (mostly pricing above 30 lakhs)  (like BMW, AUDI, MERC, JAGUAR, LAND ROVER ETC...,)
&
2. Low End Cars (pricing below 30 lakhs) (like MARUTI, TATA, HYUNDAI, CHEVY, NISSAN, SKODA...ETC..,)

BRANDS OF SPARE PARTS:
Spare Parts of any car or vehicle can be categorized into
1. Genuine parts: genuine parts are those which are used as showroom fitment. One can find these genuine parts from any company outlet or after market stockist or retailers. Genuine parts for maruti cars is named as MGP (Maruti Genuine Parts), similarly one can find tata genuine parts , hyundai genuine parts etc.
2. Vendor Parts: Vendor parts are those parts which vendors like tvs, valeo, sachs... supply to car companies to be used in their vehicle and also after market to be used in cars which are serviced outside showroom at cheaper price and with equivalent quality.
3. Imported Spares: imported spares or parts are those part which are sourced from abroad specially china. Quality of these parts are good or bad depending upon part to part and also pricing.
4. Cheap parts: these parts are usually made in India also imported sometimes and used by consumers who wish to sell their cars or get there car repaired for cheap prices.



So when it comes to brakepads for Low end cars, mostly people prefer either Genuine Parts or Vendor parts. Some of the Vendors for brakepads in India are  Tvs Girling, KBX, Rane braking, Trw(after market pads are not available as of now etc...). Genuine Pads are usually expensive and the service they give is almost equivalent to Vendor brakepads. so i would always go with vendor brakepads if available, since these are the pads which are supplied to Genuine Parts also.
I would like to share a list of companies of cars and brands of pads u can use in them other than genuine pads.
Maruti: MY PREFERENCE (TVS) , u can also use KBX, BOSCH
TATA: TVS OR KBX
Hyundai: tvs, kbx , preferred Mando.
toyota: tvs
chevrolet: tvs , bosch, acdelco
nissan & renault: trw , tvs
skoda & vw: pagid, brembo, tvs
ford : tvs
mahindra: rane or tvs
honda :tvs

Overall for these car Tvs is the best option , but for some cars Tvs do not make pads , so u can go for the next option mentioned above.



For high end cars very few options are available in India but whatever are available are of best quality. would list some Brakepads brand easily available in India that can be used for any high end cars and all of them are good options

1. Brembo
2. Textar
3. Pagid
4. Remsa

one can use any of the brands mentioned above and these brands are easily available.
